MMF Induction Day On The Road
The Music Managers’ Forum will be hosting one of their induction days that are a must for anyone interested in a career in music management. 

The explosion of creators wishing to launch careers prompted by reasons as diverse as the cheapness of basic recording, the ease of internet distribution and even The X-Factor has resulted in an increased demand for music managers. Potential managers are sometimes put off by the apparent complexities of the music industry and the MMF’s increasing membership are looking for help in overcoming the knowledge gap.

This day long session will be taught by managers and industry professionals alike and will cover everything from industry organizations, revenue sources, basic marketing, contracts, insurance and finance.

The MMF Induction Day On The Road will take place from 10.00am - 5.00pm on Friday 15th October at City Inn.

The Secret Life Of Magazines
In these times of digital data overload it might surprise you to learn that print magazine’s are more popular than ever.  In fact, since the invention of Google 12 years ago magazine readership has increased by 11%.

With this in mind, The Gloom Brothers offer this fascinating hands-on workshop revealing some of the dark arts of magazine craft. Bring radical ideas, create your own publication and prepare to get your hands dirty.  Free magazines for all participants (supplied by Mojo, Q and Kerrang!).

The Secret Life Of Magazines will take place from 11.00am - 1.00pm on Friday 15th October at Nexus Art Cafe.
